this was really great to read. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the kind of person I want to be, which has turned into reflection of the kind of people I want to surround myself with. reading through this, I recognize a lot of qualities that I see in myself and appreciate in others. It’s encouraging to see that other people notice these qualities as strengths and actively seek them out too 🀎

== WHAT I LOOK FOR IN MY LIFE PARTNER ==

1. Fashion. Do they dress well? Do they do it consistently? Do they have different outfits they can pair and wear? Fashion is a form of self-expression. My gateway to this mysterious concept we call β€œtaste”.

2. Independence. Can they take care of themselves? Do they have confidence in who they are? Are they constant complainers? Self-deprecation is funny. Self-deprecation that masks insecurity is a turn-off.

3. Humility. I’m not looking for a trophy wife. I’m looking for a down-to-earth girl. Somebody I can introduce to anyone I meet.

Eeek! This is such a good list of traits, but they're almost all things I have such difficulty with!

don’t have much time for lunch break eloquence, just a quick comment to say that every post of yours hits. i find myself repeatedly forwarding on to my friends who, (probably not so) coincidentally, embody many of these traits. ty for your thoughts!!

this was actually my topic for today's journal entry. i thought about the people i admire and what it is that make me feel that way about them. trying to figure out what i liked in people i admire so that i could try to implement those traits into my own life as i try to move forward in my life journey. but i felt like i was stuck in the surface level of things and couldn't actually identify what values they shared that made me admire them. reading this actually gave me the tools that i needed to dive deeper into the topic. thank you for this beautiful piece 🀍

As Brie Wolfson wrote: Though taste may appear effortless, you can’t have taste by mistake. It requires intention, focus, and care. Taste is a commitment to a state of attention ---> so good !!!!!!
